Community HealthAbout the PracticeOver the last 137 years it has undergone several name changes and renovations, and in the early 1970's became the Richmond Community Health Centre. It is now known as Yarra Health Services, and grows out of a long tradition of serving the community with low cost, quality health services. It incorporates a bulk-billing medical practice, and a range of subsidised allied health services. AppointmentsThe medical practice works on an appointment basis. This is the best way to keep delays to a minimum. To make an appointment, call 9429 1811 and we will make every effort to accommodate your preferred time. Of course, emergencies will be given priority, and sometimes these may cause delays, and your understanding is sought in the circumstances. After HoursA visiting locum service covers the practice after hours. Phone calls after hours will be referred to this service, and details of any after hours visits sent to us the following working day. FeesMedical Services are bulk-billed at no cost to the patient for those with a Medicare card. Overseas visitors, and those without Medicare cover, are charged at the Medicare rebate rate, which is payable at the time of the consultation. There is a small fee for non medical services. Enquire at reception for details.
