Inner East Community Health Service is located in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne and includes the LGA of Boroondara. Services include Podiatry, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Nutrition/Dietetics, GPs, Dental, Eastern Drug and Alcohol service, Health Promotion & Project Work. The Occupational Therapy department provides services to clients living in the city of Boroondara and has a strong emphasis on professional development, quality improvement and excellence in clinical practice.
DUTIES The position will involve home based community OT care including all equipment prescription and home modifications for (HACC) funded clients living in the city of Boroondara. There will be the opportunity to develop group programs and work closely with other allied health practitioners. This is a great opportunity for a motivated Occupational Therapist to work in a multi-disciplinary team. The Occupational Therapist reports to the General Manager, Primary Care Services through the Program Manager, Allied Health as part of the Allied Health team. This position will be based at our Hawthorn site, days negotiable. SALARY AND CONDITIONS In accordance with the Health Professional Services Agreement, Grade 2, Year level according to experience. Generous salary packaging is available. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Applicants must be qualified in Occupational Therapy and have a current drivers licence. It is desirable that the candidate has relevant community occupational therapy experience. The successful applicant for this position must provide a satisfactory police check on appointment.
