The Inner East Community Health Service provides assessment and management of adults with communication and swallowing disorders.

Clients include people with difficulties in communication, of swallowing, following with memory and language in dementing diseases, communication impairments resulting from stroke and the deficits in progressive neurological diseases.

The service also provides an specific outreach Speech and Communication Disorders Clinic each Thursday at the University of Melbourne Aged Psychiatry Unit, Normanby House, St Georges Hospital, for difficulties associated with memory and abnormal ageing.
